My thoughts

Throughout the book I just couldn’t stop thinking about that I must have read this book before. I don’t know if I have read something from her previously or what it is but I could not shake the feeling that this was a reread for me. I am 100% sure that this was the first time I read this novel, but maybe I might have read something from her previously and she just writes all her novels exactly the same.

There were several things that annoyed me. Firstly, it was extremely predictable. Secondly, just too many characters. Thirdly, too many different fonts. And forth and last, it was not a stand alone books.

Two of those problems are basically my own, the second and the forth one. That probably wouldn’t have been an issue if I had read the five previous books from her with these characters. But there were just too many characters, I couldn’t be bothered to remember that one police person that wasn’t even in the case but had maybe two scenes that probably matter in the big picture of the book series but didn’t matter at all in this novel.

But the other two things are not my own fault. The story was just not at all exciting and didn’t make me think at all, and I think there are about 4-5 different fonts in this novel. It was horrible. I stopped reading some pages and just scanned them because there was no point in reading them. There were so many repetitions and the story didn’t flow quite right. At one point in the novel I did go back to search for some information that I then realized was written about in the next chapter.

I think I will give this book 2/5, I finished it a couple of days ago and I am still annoyed by it.
