101 things in 1001 days: 21 week update

Alright, I haven’t updated this list for a long time. I have it organized in my notion pages so I am still following these goals but just haven’t written about it.

What I find amazing is that there are only 50 goals (basically half of them) that I haven’t started on. I was sure that number would be higher. I might even write a post about why I haven’t worked on those goals.

Goals that I have accomplished (16/101)

6. Knit myself a sweater! – Finally done!

7. Knit something for KA. – Made her a hat and a pink cable knit sweater.

14. Sort through my yarn, decide what to keep and what will never be used – Sorted! Next step is to knit something from it all.

19. Paint with watercolours. – Done.

22. Knit something for Á. – Done, made him a hat.

32. Finish my anxiety course – done. I started this class (and these goals) when I was in a high anxiety time in my life. I changed some things and realized what was causing most anxiety.

34. Get a haircut. – Done, loving it.

35. Get a massage. – Done, and loved it and get massages now regularly.

36. Get a pap smear. Done. Glad it is over.

39. No night snacking for 30 days. – Done, it was harder than I expected. It was super hard to not snack during the night when I was waking up several times throughout the night.,

40. No soda for 30 days – it is DONE. D-O-N-E. And then I had some coke, it was delicious, and I think I have had coke since I accomplished this goal. No shame. I felt no difference when I wasn’t drinking coke to when I was. I think I was happier with the coke than without it.

51. Renovate bedroom. – done!

77. Read a book in German – done! Wasn’t hard at all.

79. Take a course in something new. – Done, did a CPR course.

81. Start on my second masters degree – First day of class in August!

93. Finish Theme Hospital – This was the first goal I accomplished!

Goals that I have worked on (35/101)

1. Create a family book 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 – I should work on this more. It would be great to have the 2021 and the 2022 book printed this year.

2. Fill out a sketchbook with paintings – I’ve painted 2 paintings.

3. Finish 30 fibre art projects – 5/30!

4. Finish a film roll and have it printed. – Taking pictures!

16. Write 101 days in a gratitude journal. – Started, need to write more often!

17. Write a novel. – Working on it.

26. Try 10 new creative things – 2/10, painted with watercolours, went to a class about Icelandic cross stitching.

28. 140 workouts – started strong and then I just stopped. Need to find something fun to do again.

31. Feel pretty again – Starting to take care of myself again, feels nice.

33. Decide on what’s the next step in having a good mental health – work in progress. I think I have almost completed this goal.

38. Grow my hair out. – It just does its own thing.

41. Set a lasik appointment and get a lasik/or not get lasik – appointment has been made.

43. Get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep for 101 nights – 1 night! It was marvellous.

46. Get the garden to my liking – I’ve worked a lot in the garden and it has been nice.

47. Harvest 12 things – salat and kale from the garden!

53. Renovate living room – bought a dining room table!

56. Pay off 70% of mortgage – paying extra every month.

57. Pay off my student loans – payed a bit, thinking about the rest.

58. Save xmill/xmill/xmill – around 50% done with the first goal amount.

60. Earn 20% more than the year before (2023,2024,2025) – yep, got a pay rise and worked some extra.

61. Bake 10 different types of bread – 4/10! All gluten free!

62. Bake 10 different types of cookies – 2/10! All vegan, gluten free etc!

63. Make 10 different flavours of ice cream – 1/10. But it is finally summer!

73. Finish German in Duolingo – oh boy, duolingo changed and I hate it. But still doing something every week.

74. Finish Swedish in Duolingo – same as above. Just less.

76. Read 143 books – 10/143. Super slow but going fine, the goal was basically one book a week. So by that standard I should have read 21 books by now.

78. Read a book in Swedish. – Picked up a book from the library, should be finished in the next couple of weeks!

80. Learn to read tarot cards – reading them almost every day. I like it, don’t know when I have finished this goal.

83. Learn how to read a cup – am learning. Got a book from the library.

90. Solo trip – Will go to Reykjavík in August.

94. Post 101 blog posts – This is post number 11. Went through a bit of a lull!

95. 10 000 views on the blog – 62%

98. Have 1001 Instagram followers – 256.

And that is it. I had so many posts that I had planned on writing but couldn’t get a minute to sit down and think so maybe I will get to it now 🙂

    1. It is but it is still fun to do. It basically all started when I read something about writing down 100 things you want in your life and then I saw posts about the 101 in 1001 days 🙂
