Happy Birthday To Me

Usually, on my birthday I write a list of things that I want to accomplish before my next birthday. It is a mixture of a bucket list and new year goals and I never really accomplish a lot on the list. This year, however, I don’t have a list.

I can honestly say that this past year has been an amazing year. My last birthday was one of my best birthdays and the year has continued to simply amaze me.

So many things have happened in the past 366 days (it was a leap year) and I am still in a sort of a limbo, I haven’t set down any roots and I moved once again. But instead of letting that stopping me from doing so many things I have decided that instead of always waiting until my next move, next apartment, next year, I am just going to stop waiting. There is never going to be the perfect time to do things.

At the same time, I don’t feel the extreme pressure of making a list and accomplishing everything.  I feel happy, content and not in a bad stagnant way. I am not waiting for me to be in a certain place to do the things I want. I either just do what I want or I simply don’t.

So for the next year, I don’t have a list to cross things off I simply have hope that this year will be as amazing as the previous one.

I am going to continue to love myself as much as I do now, I want to continue to do the things I love and be the person that I want to be.

I want to continue working on my health. I don’t have a weight goal in written down or in my mind because I am just enjoying working out and becoming stronger. I will just let my life guide me in the right direction instead of always trying to accomplish the things that I think I need to accomplish.

I am going to stop feeling bad about all the things I haven’t accomplished and instead celebrate everything and continue to simply be happy.

So please do eat a slice of cake today!

Until next time.

Katrin
