My Bullet Journal – September

I am a very forgetful person. If I don’t write it down I will forget it, I might also forget it if I write it down. However, if I write it down it is more likely I will see it and then remember it! And that is probably why I like bullet journaling. I have had one of those journals most of my life.

I am not the biggest fan of pre-written calendars because I like changing things around from month to month and I also feel that my calendar needs are not the same all year around.

The book that I am using is from Moleskin and it is the Classic Notebook with a black hardcover (the size is 5’x8.25′ or 12.7cmx21cm). I love this book, I love the dots, they are the greatest thing ever. I am maybe not such a huge fan of the cover because it has started to show a lot of wear and tear (I bought the book in January).

Month overview with monthly goals. Yes, I spilled coffee on it.

I like having an overview of my month. I realized when classes started that I needed to add another aspect for my monthly overview which I have in October. There simply wasn’t enough space for gym/school deadlines/visitors/meetings/other deadlines on that little line.

I do set myself monthly goals but I don’t accomplish everything I would like to accomplish. But I like having them there to see what I could do and it is always nice crossing something off my list!

A week on one page.

Bullet Journal September (3)

I do go between having the week on one page versus having the week on two pages. I like this setup that I had in September. The page in the middle with my weekly goals is simply folded in half and then glued and that is so nice to have. It makes it easier to see an overview of the two weeks, which is very good for me and my deadlines.

By the third week, I realized that my weekly goals weren’t actually goals but my to-do list. So I changed it. If I haven’t finished something on my previous list I either write it again for the current week or just leave it and then when I do finish the task I go back and color in the box.

Basically, my weekly to-do/goal lists are a constantly rolling list from week to week.

Bullet Journal September (4)Bullet Journal September (5)On the last week of the month didn’t have a to-do list since I had written most of the things I needed to do for classes on the previous week. I also tried to write down my deadlines on the days that I needed to hand the things in.

While I do like having a week on one page I can also say that it is sometimes not that fantastic since I do have a lot less space per day. For me having my to-do list then on this separate middle section does help with the lack of space.

Until next time.
