I haven’t written one of those in a hot minute. I always plan on writing them but then I don’t have time to take pictures of everything I am knitting on a weekly basis. Maybe I’ll try to write one a month this year.

I’ve actually finished several big projects since my last WIP post! Like the December blanket!

One of the reason I am finishing things is because I am doing a no new cast-on January! I wanted to see how many of these projects I could finish. So far I have finished 2 things in January, not a lot but they were things I hadn’t worked on for a long time. I made some good progress with the other things I am knitting so I am quite happy with everything. I usually try to have one project out – one new in system but that always leaves me with several projects that I am just not working on enough so that I manage to finish them. The more exciting, or even smaller projects get worked on more so that I can cast-on something new.

Sunshine on the Path Shawl

There is something about this pattern that makes me not remember what the next step is, I always need to have the pattern on hand. It is annoying me but I have less than two balls of yarn left so I should be able to finish it this winter! I hate taking picture of this shawl, it just never photographs rights.

Lopi Laptopcase

This is another just such a slow knit, and one that I want to finish! But I rarely gravitate towards it. Which is a shame, I have a lot of lopi that I plan on using for this project but somehow nothing happens.

I have finished the body, neck and half a sleeve. I like knitting this sweater so that is not the problem. And I assume it will be finished in the next couple of weeks.

I am knitting for the first time two socks at a time, next step is a new type of heel that I haven’t knitted before!
