This week I was being an intern at a library, the library was just beautiful and the staff amazing. It was just so great seeing how a real library functions and all the components. The women working at the library were amazing and it was such a great learning experience and motivated me into continuing with my education.

I had a new knitting group meeting, which was super fun. It is with people I know but it was fun meeting them outside of our normal setting. I always love seeing what other people are knitting!

This week I also resigned from my job, with no other job lined up. It is probably the most irresponsible thing I have done. But I am very happy about it. Everyone keeps on asking me what I am going to do and I just say nothing. Of course I will continue with my master’s degree and have a baby and all that. Hilariously, that is frequently not really enough in Iceland. I don’t know anyone that is just a mom or just a student. It is quite ingrained into the society to work.

I am looking forward to not do anything, I have of course made some plans on what I plan on doing in my unemployment era 😂

I kept on knitting the Áróra sweater for KA, it looks amazing. I finished it on Sunday and just need to wash it. I must have been tense when knitting it because the tension was a bit off. But it fits and KA is happy with it. She looks very very cute in it!

The busiest time of the semester is about to happen and I am just not ready for it. I am already exhausted and I still need to hand in 3 (or even 4) final assignments. I am not excited about it but I am excited to finish this semester.

And that is it! Uneventful week but still with some big future changes.

  1. It’s a brave step leaving a job without another one lined up! I’ve always been too scared to do it, no matter how soul-destroying the job was.

    1. Thank you! It was scary but looking back I am quite happy that I did it.
