19 in 2019

,

2019 is the year when I am going to do some new stuff. The first year in for such a long time when I am not a student! My main focus for 2019 is finishing things. It is super hard for me to finish a project, I always want to start on the next one or I don’t think what I am doing is good enough.

So by the end of the year, I would like to have…

Nineteen books read.

Eighteen postcard sent.

Seventeen crafted items sold.

Sixteen different types of edible plants grown.

Fifteen items embroidered.

Fourteen make up (or nail polish) items used up.

Thirteen hikes.

Twelve socks knitted.

Eleven different types of bread baked.

Ten things that are no longer plastic.

Nine (or fewer) plastic bottles used.

Eight times out to pick trash.

Seven articles published.

Six items of clothing made.

Five kilometres running without stopping.

Four months of expenses saved.

Three camping trips.

Two overseas trips.

One recipe book cooked.

I will do an update on the things I have a progress on every month in my Monthly Review posts.

I saw this first over at Snail of Happiness. I thought it was a great idea and decided to start writing my list. That happened in April 2018! Yes, I have been working on this for a while!

  1. I love this time of year in the world of blogs because so many people are writing about their goals and plans for the year ahead. I like to idea of working your way through a whole cookery book! What an excellent way to try new dishes 🙂

    1. I love reading about other people’s goals, it motivates me to work on my own! Working through a cook book is also a great idea to try new ingredients that you might not think about! 🙂

  2. […] I really thought I would have finished at least one of the shadows or the highlighter by now! But alas, I have not. I am getting closer. I use the highlighter as a face-highlighter instead of just using it as an eye shadow so it is being used fairly often. I do think this will be one of the 14 make up items I will finish this year. 3. I’m late to the party (as usual), but this is a fantastic idea and I’m quite possibly going to steal it and adapt it for my own focus areas!

  6. I really like this! Not only have your written goals for yourself, but you have a system for measuring them in your monthly reviews. 🙂

  7. I think those are great goals.
The only goal I set myself this year was to read 100 books. I’m on 17 so far, so not doing too badly.
I hope you manage to achieve all of these goals.

    1. Amazing! I don’t think I would be able to read 100 books in one year! 😊😊😊
