Month in Review: May

May was something else! At the beginning of the month, I headed back to Iceland for the summer and started working. Which is great, what was not great where the final assignments I had to hand in. I just simply felt overwhelmed.

The month was pretty great, and there are a lot of things that stood out.

May in Review (1)

Before I headed to Iceland, a friend of mine and I made some Karjalanpiirakka, it was the first time making them and definitely not the last time. They were not as hard to make as I imagined, but it was a lot of work making them. They turned out amazingly, way better than the ones you can buy!

The weather was finally lovely in Helsinki and then I headed to Iceland, into rain! The rain in May broke the record for the most rain in Reykjavík since 1989. It rained every single day in May!

May in Review (2)

When I got to Iceland, my boyfriend and I went for a weekend to Akureyri, which is always awesome. There was some strange weather when we drove there, we had sun, rain, snow and some strong winds.

And then I went to see The Rocky Horror Show with my job and that was just amazing. It is being shown in Icelandic at Borgarleikhúsið and they did amazingly. Not only the actors but also the stage was gorgeous.

  1. […] May went so quickly! I don’t know it if was because I was working a lot or what is going on! Looking back on the month I seriously don’t think I did anything. Which is not true, family was in town, master’s thesis were defended (not mine) and a lot of things happened! May had some great weather, which was a nice things since May 2018 was very rainy. […]
