Hiking up Úlfarsfell

I wrote in my review of April that I wanted to hike up on one mountain in May.  Last summer I wrote about hiking up Vindbelgur. In that post I mention that I do enjoy hiking but not hikes that are too hard, and Úlfarsfell was a perfect not-too-hard hike.

úlfarsfell (1)Hiking up Úlfarsfell isn’t hard and it is so worth it. The view from the top is amazing. There are several hiking trails up the mountain and several different parking lots around the roots of the mountain.

Even though the weather might be nice, it will be windy at the top. And oh boy, it was quite windy! As you can see on the photos the rain clouds were looming over us. Luckily it didn’t start raining until we had almost walked back home. I would not want to walk up there in the rain since it could get very muddy.

This was the second time I walked up Úlfarsfell and this hiking trail was better than the one I went before. So I can say that I wouldn’t recommend going the hiking trail that goes through the forest! That one was way harder than going up on the side of the mountain!

That is all for today! Until next time.
