Master’s Thesis: March

In February I had set myself two goals for March.  Firstly, to hand in my portfolio and secondly to write 2000 words. I am happy to say that I did succeed!

I always fluctuate between two moods, I can do it and I have no idea what I am doing.

In March the seminars for the thesis started. It is a class where we meet with our advisor and prepare things for the thesis. It is a weekly class that last for one and a half semester. At first I wasn’t so sure about it but after 3 classes I think it is great.

It is nice having a group of people writing the essay at the same time as you and being able to get peer review and ask questions. It is also nice that you are meeting with your advisor every week. Especially, if you have any minor questions that you might feel silly sending an email about you can simply just ask. There won’t be any classes over the summer, but I am hoping that the ones that are planning on writing during the summer will keep on motivating each other.

In my official schedule for this thesis I had written I would finish the background chapter in April. However, I am not seeing that happening right now. I have gotten quite far with it but it still needs tremendous amount of work. Thus, I need to set a smaller goal for April.

My goal for April is to finish designing the interview. I am not sure if I will get a lot of writing done since I have several other essays I will need to finish, presentation, exam and just general school work! But I will need to edit what I have already written.

March word count: 2276

Until next time.
