Master’s Thesis: Day One

Hello,

This was so not the post I had planned on posting today but I got the email I had been waiting for so I just had to write about it!

I am so excited so I wanted to commemorate this occasion. As the title says, today is the first day of Master’s Thesis. To be fair, the first couple of months will mainly be background research but I am still quite excited.

Especially since I thought of the idea what I wanted to write about (which is still being worked on) on the 12h of January 2018, a week later I had a meeting with my advisor and my future Thesis advisor about my idea and today I am starting on the research.

This is such a new ground for me since I will be writing about a linguistically related subject. I have always been about literature, my BA was about literature (and history) and I was not expecting to do anything else with my MA. But, I am a firm believer in going with what your gut is telling you and I decided to really go for it!

Am I stress? Extremely, I keep on questioning whether or not I am actually qualified to do this study and I am not really ready for a 60-page essay. But at the same time, I am so excited about this whole thing. This is something I really want to do!

Until next time!
